Willian has had a mixed Chelsea career in Antonio Conte’s two years as manager of the club. The Brazilian has often found himself on the bench despite being in form and he has admitted that it was difficult for him.
Speaking at Tottenham’s training ground where Brazil are training for the World Cup, he told Sportsmail: “I was happy with my performance during the season, I played very well I always try to do my best and work hard.
“Sometimes to stay on the bench is difficult but I respect the decision of the manager. I think it was that I don’t have nothing more to say about my club because now I want to have focus here on the national team and the World Cup.”
Willian has two years left on his contract with Chelsea and he has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United as Jose Mourinho tries to take advantage of his situation at Chelsea.
