Chelsea star Cesar Azpilicueta believes the Blues are improving under the guidance of Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.
Azpilicueta made his first appearance of the pre-season in Chelsea’s win over Inter Milan on Saturday and the Spaniard scored the penalty which ensured we came out on top in our shoot-out against Inter Milan.
“We ended with a draw so obviously it was important to win the penalty shoot-out and we did it so we are happy,” said Azpilicueta.
“We are improving and we have to keep learning in the games that we have on Wednesday (against Arsenal) and then on Sunday against Manchester City. We have to keep working hard.
“It’s been really good since the first day. We’ve been learning his methods and I think the team looks better with every minute. We know we can still improve, we have room for improvement and we want to work on that aspect.
“We know we don’t have a lot of time to prepare for it [the new season] so we have to work hard in every training session and in every game to pick up the movements we want to do. I think we saw a good team against Inter Milan and we have to play collectively to get the results.”
