Chelsea are reportedly considering goalkeeper options should Thibaut Courtois leave Stamford Bridge this summer with Real Madrid interested in the goalkeeper.
According to Daily Mail, Chelsea are weighing up moves for England goalkeepers Jordan Pickford or Jack Butland should Courtois leave Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid.
Courtois is in the final year of his Chelsea contract and the Belgian goalkeeper has repeatedly spoken of his desire to return to Spain.
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford would command a high transfer fee after impressing at the World Cup with England. The 24-year-old joined Everton last summer for a club-record £30million from Sunderland.
Butland will reportedly cost Chelsea around £20million and is a more likely alternative after being relegated to the Championship with Stoke last season.
The best option for Chelsea would definitely be to convince Courtois to remain at Stamford Bridge and extend his Chelsea contract.
Chelsea were linked with Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson but he joined Liverpool for a fee of around £65million, a record fee for a goalkeeper.
