It’s now almost two months since the end of last season, yet Chelsea’s managerial situation is still unresolved. The expected sacked Antonio Conte is still in charge at the club and the incessant rumouring of Maurizio Sarri’s expected appointment now sounds probable. This certainly does not bode well for the club in all ramifications.

The uncertainty regarding the managerial situation at the club is becoming a ticking time bomb which could blow into disaster. With our non-World Cup players back for pre-season training, how do the club think these players will feel not knowing who will manage them next season. Certainly, the air of uncertainty will affect their desires to commit their futures to the club. Worse still this could affect our preparations for next season, and even the players performance levels.

More so, with just a month to our curtain-raiser Charity shield game against Manchester City, and a week later the new season eventually begins, will the team be fully ready to fiercely compete? I doubt especially if this managerial issue is allowed to drag until the end of the World Cup event.

It’s just still a month to the end of the transfer window and Chelsea are yet to do any business. Will the squad be fully ready for the season?

The club must take the coming week to resolve these lingering issues or face the ignominy of a full-blown crisis. Let’s act fast.

Let’s hope for the best. Cheers!

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
