Cesc Fabregas has been on holidays since the season ended in May, and the Spaniard has revealed that he can’t wait for the new season to kick off next month.

The World Cup winner was omitted from Julen Lopetegui’s 23-man Spain squad for this summer’s competition in Russia.

During his break he has been a pundit for BBC‘s coverage of the showpiece event this month.

The midfield maestro has now admitted the holiday has been too long and he isn’t enjoying it anymore.

A Chelsea Fan Page Club asked Fabregas on Twitter: “@cesc4official are you looking forward to the new season with @ChelseaFC?”

Fabregas replied, saying: “You cannot even believe how much I’m looking forward to it.

“I’ve never had more than 30 days holiday in 15 years, now I’m on day 45 and is not even fun anymore.

“Only a few days to go now, I can’t wait!”
