Chelsea have been strongly linked with Russia World Cup star Aleksandr Golovin, and reports claimed that the CSKA Moscow star was closing in on a move to Chelsea.
The move seemed to have stalled after Monaco entered the race and paid a significant sum for the 23-year-old.
However, CKSA Moscow goalkeeper Sergey Chepchugov has sparked rumours claiming Golovin is joining Chelsea this summer.
Chepchugov wrote on Instagram about how happy he was for Golovin, and that he always knew the Russia international would join a big club. He also included Chelsea in the post which seemed to have excited Blues fans.
However, indications suggest that the Russia international’s move to Stamford Bridge has been hijacked by Monaco.
Is the World Cup star on his way to London or Monaco?
