Two of Chelsea’s top stars went head to head in the quarterfinal clash of the World Cup between Belgium and Brazil.
For Chelsea fans, it was Eden Hazard vs Willian – and only one could come out tops.
At the end of the game, it was Hazard and his teammates celebrating the victory in what was a thrilling encounter.
Willian had boasted before the game that the Selecao would send his friend Hazard out of the tournament.
“Hazard is one of the best in the world, but now we’re on opposite sides,” Willian said.
“This is the first time I will have played against him in my five or six years at Chelsea.
“I am friends with him at the club but he is on his side and I am on mine, and I hope I can get the better of him. I will be doing everything possible to win, but we will continue to be friends.”
But Hazard didn’t let that happen, as he was one of the stars of the game and tormented Brazil’s defence all game long.
Belgium will have to thank Thibaut Courtois who was amazing and produced many superb saves as Belgium carried the day.
