Eden Hazard has been spectacular in the World Cup, and the Chelsea star was on fire as Belgium defeated England in the third place play-off on Saturday evening.

Goals from Thomas Meunier and Eden Hazard secured a deserved 2-0 victory in Saint Petersburg and meant Belgium bettered their performance at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, where they finished fourth.

Belgium, who suffered a painful 1-0 defeat to France in the semi-finals, defeated England 1-0 in the group stage, and today again repeated the feat but this time with a two goal margin.

Hazard caused England many problems when on the ball and was rewarded on the 82nd minute when he made no mistake with his near-post finish having been sent clean through by De Bruyne.

Three Chelsea stars Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Michy Batshuayi are now World Cup bronze medal winners.
