Maurizio Sarri was today confirmed as Chelsea manager, as the Italian signed a three-year contract to replace the sacked Antonio Conte.
Eden Hazard has spoken about the new Chelsea manager, and admitted that he already knew Sarri was going to be appointed as the new Chelsea boss.
Hazard admitted that he has spoken to his country teammate Dries Mertens about Sarri, and he got a positive review from his Belgian mate.
“We knew already for a while that Sarri was going to become the new manager,” Hazard said.
“Is a good manager? If he lets me win trophies, yes. Dries Mertens has told me he’s a good coach.
“We’ll have to work hard. The Italian way, but we were used to that with Antonio (Conte) too.”
Hazard played a key role for Belgium as they went on to win the third place game against England in the World Cup.
