Chelsea young defender Jake Clarke-Salter will join Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old, who spent last season at Sunderland, is expected to complete his loan move after undergoing a medical on Monday.
Vitesse Arnhem is currently managed by Leonid Slutsky who worked with several Chelsea academy graduates when he was in charge of Hull at the start of last season.
The chance to work with Slutsky proved to be a big factor in Clarke-Salter’s decision to snub interest from clubs in the Championship and take the Dutch option.
Clarke-Salter will play Europa League during his time on loan at Vitesse Arnhem.
