New Chelsea signing Jorginho chose the number 5 jersey upon signing for Chelsea.
The Italy international joined the Blues from Napoli in a deal worth £57m, and he is expected to dictate play in midfield as Chelsea prepare for Sarri-ball next season.
When asked by the official Chelsea website why he opted for the No.5 jersey, the Italy international said: “I think it is a strong number, and in Brazilian football it is a number that is well-respected and has an important place in the history of football, but above all it is just a number I like.
“I think it is a beautiful number. And also because great players in the past like Falcao from Brazil wore it.”
Chelsea legend Michael Essien donned the No.5 shirt and was well-respected during his time at the Bridge as he was nicknamed the Bison.
