Chelsea’s managerial status has been finally sorted out as the club has finally confirmed the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as the club’s new manager.

Just a day after confirming the sack of Antonio Conte, the club has now made Sarri the new manager, ending months of rumours and speculations.

Sarri has signed a three-year contract with the Blues that will keep him in charge at Stamford Bridge until 2021.

Sarri who left Napoli at the end of last season has revealed his happiness at becoming Chelsea manager.

He told the official Chelsea website: “I am very happy to be coming to Chelsea and the Premier League. It is an exciting new period in my career.

“I look forward to starting work and meeting the players on Monday ahead of travelling to Australia, where I will be able to get to know the squad and begin our match action.”

Sarri who is known for his attacking brand of football has assured Chelsea fans of attacking football come next season, and he hopes to crown it all with trophies.

“I hope we can provide some entertaining football for our fans, and that we will be competing for trophies at the end of the season, which is what this club deserves.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
