It has emerged that Liverpool had made a £62million offer for Alisson, according to reports.
Liverpool appear confident of signing the Roma goalkeeper, but Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has contacted Alisson in a bid to convince the Roma stopper to turn down Liverpool’s advances and await an offer from the Blues.
Premium Sport claim Sarri assured Alisson Chelsea could offer a better contract than Liverpool.
Chelsea want Alisson to replace Real Madrid-bound Thibaut Courtois and will outbid Liverpool, and are expected to lodge their proposal on Wednesday evening.
Chelsea will give Alisson a £5.3million-a-year contract to reject Liverpool, and Roma are awaiting the Blues offers.
