Chelsea have finally confirmed the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as the club’s new manager after the club finally let go of Antonio Conte.
The 59-year-old may just have been appointed today, but he has since been in talks with the club and has been dictating play from behind the scenes.
Although Chelsea are yet to confirm any signing so far, the club will be expected to wrap up deals that have been waiting for the managerial appointment.
Jorginho, Higuian and Rugani transfers are said to be Sarri’s choices, and these deals will soon be concluded, reports claim.
However, Sarri has also told the club to keep hold of some key players, and labelled Eden Hazard and Willian as untouchables.
Sarri’s football at Napoli caught the eye of football lovers, and he needs Hazard and Willian to play such football for him next season.
Hazard and Willian are strongly being linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona, but Sarri expects the club not to sell.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Sarri and Abramovich have been in contact before now, and the Italian has told Chelsea’s owner that one of the conditions of him taking the job is that Willian and Hazard both remain at the club this summer.
