Chelsea confirmed the signing of Maurizio Sarri as the new Chelsea manager on Saturday after letting go of Antonio Conte.

Conte was sacked after two years in charge of the Blues despite winning the Premier League and FA Cup for the West London outfit as Chelsea ended last campaign in 5th position.

Sarri has now revealed that Chelsea have given him the task of making the club competitive again.

Sarri said: “I need to have fun in order to do well. My goal is to have fun while I am here.

“The club have asked me to build a season where we have to be competitive in all competitions and in order to do that we must get to March and April in all competitions.”
