Jorginho was unveiled as Chelsea’s first signing of the summer last weekend, and the new Chelsea boss is set to confirm his second signing of the summer transfer window.
According to reports in Italy, Chelsea are on the verge of finalising a deal for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani after the Italian agreed personal terms with the club.
Maurizio Sarri, who was officially unveiled to the press on Wednesday, admitted in his press conference that he is keen to reinforce his squad with some signings, and has already raided Serie A once this summer to bring Jorginho to west London.
23-year-old Juve defender Rugani, is keen to join Sarri at Stamford Bridge and his agent, Davide Torchia, has already negotiated a five-year contract worth £4m-a-season – around £75k-a-week.
The transfer fee is valued around £45m, though Chelsea still have to work out the finer details of the deal such as payment structure and bonuses.
A transfer confirmation is expected within the next few days.
