With Chelsea reportedly willing to let Thibaut Courtois leave to Real Madrid as he has just a year left on his contract, the Blues have been linked with a number of replacements for the Belgian.
Alisson was the name strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, but the Brazilian has sealed a move to Liverpool.
Although Chelsea have signed Rob Green as a third choice goalkeeper, the club are still in search of a first choice goalie and won’t sell Courtois until a replacement has been brought.
Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland has been linked with the Blues, but Potters boss Gary Rowett is refusing to believe speculation linking Chelsea with goalkeeper Jack Butland.
“I don’t believe any rumours if I’m honest,” he told the club’s official website.
“I understand the good players are going to be linked with good clubs which is great, I get that.
“That shows the level of player we’ve got at this club.
“It shows the level Jack Butland is at as a young keeper and that those clubs might potentially look at him.”
