Eden Hazard is undeniably Chelsea’s main man. He had carried the team on his shoulders season in, season out, and has created and scored some important goals. But he may not be the only player that means a great deal to the club. Willian has over time, equally shown he’s as important as his Belgian colleague. He doesn’t score as often as Hazard, but he knows how to provide some really important ones and could turn up in some big games (like Barcelona last season).
One of the many special qualities of Willian is his blistering pace. Very few players can run as fast as the Brazilian does, and that’s a major strength. In a team like Chelsea, where counterattacking football is often part of the tactics, he comes in very handy.
The man’s shot power and accuracy is also something worth thinking about. Perhaps his one flaw is holding on to the ball unnecessarily sometimes, but besides that, he is a flawless player. And it is clear why clubs like Manchester United and Barcelona have been linked with his services in recent weeks and months.
The average Chelsea fan likes to see Hazard as the beginning and end of Chelsea, but as important as he is, even he doesn’t offer us what Willian does. And it’s difficult to imagine a Chelsea side without all the qualities our Brazilian star brings to the table.
As a huge Blue, I pray he stays beyond the coming season, because with him, Hazard, and the likely to be made additions, Chelsea should put on a very strong challenge for the 2018/19 EPL session.
Yes Eden Hazard is really undeniably Chelsea’s main man
