AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso has voiced his displeasure at Tiemoue Bakayoko’s performance in their 3-2 defeat to Napoli.
Bakayoko joined the Milan club on loan during the summer, but Gattuso voiced his frustrations with the Chelsea midfielder for having a bad game against Napoli.
Milan led 2-0 after 50 minutes at the Stadio San Paolo, only for a double from Piotr Zielinski and a late Dries Mertens strike to give Napoli a sensational comeback win.
With the scores at 2-1, Gattuso brought in Bakayoko in the second half to shore up Milan’s midfield, but the change didn’t work, as Napoli scored two more goals.
Bakayoko also missed a good chance to restore the Milan lead at 2-2, and Gattuso revealed his unhappiness at the end of the game.
“Bakayoko has to learn how to get the ball,” Gattuso said. “We must work correctly. It will not be easy.
“One week is not enough to remove the defects of a player. I would have preferred to be managing older, more experienced club players.”
