Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City killed the hope of many blues fans ahead of the new season after Pep Guardiola’s men were by far the better side in that game.
However, Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley has told the fans to keep hope in the team and that the players are gradually adjusting to the new manager’s style of play.
He told the official Chelsea website: “It takes some adjusting to but day by day we’re getting used to it.
“We’re well drilled at the minute but we’re learning more day by day and things are going to continue to improve.
“Every manager has their own methods in the way they come across but it makes no difference, we’ve got to go out and perform. If the manager is different to the previous manager it doesn’t make any difference to the way we should be performing on the pitch.
“The aim is to go game by game, win matches and at the end of the season win trophies.”
