Former Chelsea midfielder and manager Roberto Di Matteo paid a visit to the Chelsea training ground, Cobham, on Wednesday.

Di Matteo won multiple trophies and scored some famous cup final goals in the late 1990s and early 2000s and then returned to manage us to our Champions League triumph in 2012, with an FA Cup added that year too.

Di Matteo who is our only Champions League winning manager was able greet his compatriot Maurizio Sarri and his former team-mate Gianfranco Zola at our training ground.

The former Chelsea boss was also reunited with three of the players he managed while in charge of the Chelsea team – David Luiz and Gary Cahill, who were the central defence that night in Munich, and Cesar Azpilicueta who was signed the summer that followed.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
