The new Premier League season is about to get underway, as Chelsea prepare to play Huddersfield on August 11.
Blues legend Pat Nevin has revealed he is looking forward to the new season under new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri as the Blues tend to play the Sarri-ball.
He told the official Chelsea website: “Like every season I am looking forward to it, the new manager will be intriguing with his style. One of the most memorable games I watched in an extraordinary Champions League campaign last season was the Napoli game against Manchester City. It was a six-goal thriller with some of the most exciting attacking play you are ever likely to see. The point being you are now likely to see it at Stamford Bridge and if so, we are in for a few treats.
“In the meantime however there is preparation to be done, including the Community Shield against City. Everybody wants another winners’ medal, with N’Golo and Olivier probably still as keen as anyone, but this season it might just be either a bit slower pace than usual from both sides or else two teams that are more experimental than normal. That is the point of a new season with a new boss. Everyone is starting from scratch and for all the concerns, top players relish the new challenge.”
