Chelsea are now desperately searching the market for a goalkeeper after current number one Thibaut Courtois failed to return to camp alongside Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi.
Chelsea have been unwilling to sell the Belgian shot stopper until a replacement have been found, but reports from Spain claim Chelsea are targeting Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga as a replacement for Courtois and the Blues are willing to meet his release clause.
According to AS and Marca, Chelsea want to sign Kepa and are prepared to pay the 23-year-old’s €80 million (£71m) buyout clause.
Chelsea are willing to offer Kepa a five-year contract worth £100,000 a week.
Sarri has been an admirer of shot-stopper Kepa for a number of years and expressed interest in signing him while he was in charge of Napoli.
