Chelsea star Eden Hazard has asked Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri to return late for Chelsea duty.
Hazard was given an extended break after Belgium’s run to third place at the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Ahead of Chelsea’s Community Shield clash with Manchester City on Sunday, Sarri revealed Hazard asked to return for Chelsea duty on Monday instead of Sunday.
Sarri also revealed he granted Hazard his request but admitted he didn’t speak with Hazard about his future despite ongoing links with Real Madrid.
“We didn’t talk about this,” Sarri said when asked about Hazard’s future.
“We talked only about ‘can I arrive on Monday instead of Sunday?’
“In this moment there is no problem for Hazard.”
