Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek came on for Ross Barkley with 25 minutes left in the 3-0 win over Huddersfield, and the 22-year-old is being tipped as a star for the future by Maurizio Sarri.
Sarri has brought his much famed Sarri-ball football to Stamford Bridge and has ditched Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 football for a 4-3-3 system.
Loftus-Cheek believes he will fit in well as an attacking midfielder in Chelsea’s midfield three.
“I’ve played in a few positions, mostly on the left of midfield last season,” he told the official Chelsea website.
“Playing in a 4-3-3 in an attacking midfield position is kind of my position really, my suited position, so hopefully I can bring my best football to the team.
“The boys are working really hard trying to understand how the boss wants us to play, on and off the ball, and it will only get better.”
