David Luiz was destined for a Chelsea exit under former boss Antonio Conte, but the Brazilian’s career at Stamford Bridge has been revitalised and he might play a key role under the new manager this season.
The 31-year-old also revealed that he is happy with the new manager’s philosophy.
“I’m very happy with his new philosophy, a philosophy to play nice football,” Luiz told HaytersTV.
“This manager likes to play attractive football, he likes to play offensive and attacking football, so I’m very happy working hard trying always to show him my best.”
Luiz also revealed that the entire team is happy with Sarri’s brand of football.
“People were also happy before we won two titles,” added Luiz.
“In two years with this new philosophy, everyone enjoys watching this type of football like you mentioned. All teams enjoy having possession of the ball. ‘If you have the ball is easier to score goals, play nice football and win titles.
“Everyone in the team is happy, trying to show our best to the new coach and to adapt and understand the new philosophy as quickly as possible.
“So everyone is working with intensity and with a lot of happiness.”
