Chelsea and Manchester City have a Community Shield clash date on Sunday as both teams will kick-start the new season.

Jorginho was strongly linked with a move to Manchester City, but the former Napoli midfielder chose to join Chelsea over the Citizens.

City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed that losing Jorginho to Chelsea was a blow and he compared it to how he missed out on Alexis Sanchez in January.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Community Shield on Sunday, he said: “The blow is that he [Jorginho] would rather be at Chelsea.

“We tried, we believe we were close but at the last turn he decided to go to Chelsea.

“The same thing with United and Alexis, so I have nothing else to say.”
