Chelsea have a crucial clash this weekend, as the Blues welcome fellow Londoners, Arsenal to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Chelsea’s rivalry with Arsenal is just as good as it gets, and this one promises to add even more thrill to it, with both teams starting the season with new managers.
Maurizio Sarri has admitted he is looking forward to the clash, in what will be his first ever London derby.
He said: “I will the coach of one of the most important clubs in Europe in one of the most important stadiums in Europe for my first London derby. I am looking forward to it.”
Speaking about the Gunners, Sarri sympathized with Unai Emery and insisted that he won’t judge his side based on their defeat against Manchester City last weekend.
Sarri said: “It’s difficult for everybody against Manchester City! Emery is a very good coach. He won the Europa League three times, he won in France with PSG, and I think Arsenal this season will be competitive.
“They will be able to fight for a place in the Champions League.”
