Maurizio Sarri’s first Premier League game couldn’t have gotten any better as the Blues romped to a 3-0 victory.
However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing as the team had to labour for the victory against a very determined David Wagner’s side.
Speaking after the game, Sarri admitted that his team hasn’t had enough time to train on his new system and that he didn’t train his side to face Huddersfield’s 3-5-1-1 system.
He told the media: “It was really hard for us because they played all their pre-season matches with a 4-2-3-1, only one match in a 4-3-3.
“We have never played against 3-5-1-1 and we weren’t ready. It was a problem. Maybe for Napoli last year it wasn’t a problem but for Chelsea, with only three days training together, it’s clear it was a problem.”
