Spanish club Barcelona are reportedly targeting a move for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante in the near future according to a report on Daily Express.
The 27-year-old has become a key player for the Blues since joining from Leicester City in 2016 and his stellar displays at Russia 2018 helped France win the World Cup.
French club Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Kante and the report also claims Barcelona could make a move for Kante when the transfer window opens in January.
Chelsea will have no problem keeping Kante at Stamford Bridge after Kante admitted staying at Chelsea is good for him.
Kante recently said: “There was no particular desire to go somewhere after the World Cup.
“There were other clubs’ interests but after talking to Chelsea, things were clear.
“The club is counting on me and I feel good. The next logical step was to continue with Chelsea.
“There was some contact with PSG, yes.
“However, after a discussion with the club, I realised that the main thing for me was to feel good where I was then and am now.
“I am with Chelsea – staying with Chelsea is good for me.”
This is Kante’s third season at Chelsea and fans are confident he will continue being a Chelsea player despite interest from PSG and Barcelona.
