Some Chelsea fans were reportedly made to wait up to four hours for coaches to the stadium for the Europa League game against PAOK in Greece according to a report on talkSPORT.
The report claims Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck tried to calm fans and ease any tension by digging into his own pocket to get snacks for Chelsea fans at the stadium before the game.
Buck bought the snacks from a vending machine nearly and offered them to Chelsea fans as a way of apologising for the delay with the transport to the Toumba Stadium for the game between Chelsea and PAOK.
Some Chelsea fans at the stadium didn’t recognise the 72-year-old as Chelsea chairman.
Buck and other Chelsea fans who made the trip to Greece would definitely have been excited about the quality of football from the Blues as Chelsea dominated the game with Willian scoring the only goal of the game.
The game against PAOK was Chelsea’s first match in the Europa League since we won the trophy in 2013. Players like Eden Hazard, Gary Cahill, Victor Moses, Cesar Azpilicueta and David Luiz were part of that Europa League trophy winnining squad in 2013.
The Blues will be back in Premier league action against West Ham on Sunday afternoon and Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will be hoping our perfect start to the season continues.
