Chelsea have received a huge injury boost with the return to training of Cesc Fabregas.

The 31-year-old midfielder has missed all four of the opening Premier League matches of the season.

Fabregas picked up an injury during the pre-season friendly against Arsenal in Dublin and aggravated it in the defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield.

Fabregas posted a video of himself running and now working with the ball.

With the midfield trio of N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic having impressed so far, Fabregas might struggle to get a starting spot when he returns.

I eat, sleep and live Chelsea.

  1. unfortunately Cesc Fabregas isn’t really needed in this team — apadue can cover for jorginhoe (spelling) — Ethan is faster on his feet faster in general & more physical — I can’t see Cesc getting a look in anywhere really which is distressing for hm because he’s a great team player but he’s a long way down the line here.

  2. not true, Ampadu is preferred in defense by the coach, Fabregas’ experience would be needed when push comes to shove in the season

  3. Fabregas would be vital for the team in the long run, as this Chelsea team plays in a way that suits him, its just a matter of time, his chances would come.
