According to a report on Daily Mail, FIFA is reportedly planning to cap the number of players a club can loan out.

Chelsea currently have 40 players out on loan, including Kurt Zouma and Michy Batshuayi and FIFA plan to restrict the number of players sent out on loan to eight per season.

The new rule being proposed by FIFA will apply to players over the age of 21, with homegrown youngsters exempt.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino gave a hint about the move in February, saying: “It is important to establish a few rules as a limitation of squad sizes or the number of players out on loan.”

Now could that be disastrous to Chelse in which way?

  2. Nice post Otony, Chelsea have lots of young talented players and this loaning system has helped so much in their development. This is not a good news for any of us as Chelsea fans.

  3. We shall see, there’s always a clause to stick around with.
