Chelsea came from behind to defeat Liverpool 2-1 in the Carabao Cup clash at the Anfield Stadium. Eden Hazard was the star of the show after scoring a wonder goal that gave Chelsea the winner.

Hazard was a second half substitute in the game and was brought on in the 56th minute for Willian. Two minutes after joining the fray, Daniel Sturridge opened the scoring with a delightful overhead kick.

While the game seemed to be heading in Liverpool’s direction, Emerson cancelled out Sturridge’s effort with ten minutes remaining of normal time as he was aware to tap in home from a Ross Barkley header.

The match looked like it was heading for a penalty shootout before Hazard popped up with a solo wonder goal. Hazard jinked round several Liverpool defenders and drilled the ball past a hapless Simon Mignolet to send Chelsea into the fourth round of the competition.

Hazard has now revealed that he had a conversation with Kante while on the bench before scoring his superb goal.

“I spoke with N’Golo on the bench and he told me he didn’t want to take a penalty, so the only solution was to score!” Hazard told Sky Sports.

“I just tried to do what I can do.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.

That’s true spirit of sportsmanship… I’m happy to be a 100% Chelseafc family. With Sarri perfection ball, we are very good to go with all the major trophies we’re fighting for this season.
