Chelsea star Eden Hazard reminded the world about his extraordinary abilities as he scored a brilliant solo goal against Liverpool in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night to help Chelsea secure a 2-1 win at Anfield.
Luka Modric was recently voted the best player in the world by FIFA but Chelsea legend John Terry insists Hazard is the world’s best player.
Liverpool took the lead at Anfield through former Chelsea player Daniel Sturridge before Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri scored his first Chelsea goal to equalize for the Blues. With the game heading to penalties, Hazard dribbled past a host of Liverpool players before unleashing a fierce shot.
The goal by Hazard thrilled former Chelsea captain John Terry with the Terry hailing Hazard as the best player in the Premier League and in the world.
Writing on Instagram, Terry said: “What a goal from @hazardeden_10 @chelseafc BEST player in the @premierleague and in the WORLD.”
Hazard has now scored six goals in seven appearances for Chelsea this season and the Belgian international will be hoping to add to his tally for the season when Chelsea host Liverpool on Saturday in the Premier League.
