A number of Chelsea players were in action on Sunday night for their various national teams.

Olivier Giroud scored the winner as France defeated Netherlands 2-1. The World Cup winners had taken the lead against the Netherlands in Paris through Kylian Mbappe but the Dutch equalised when Ryan Babel tapped in to add cracker to the game. However France were not to be denied the three points when Giroud smashed home a cross on the volley in the 75th-minute. N’Golo Kante played the whole game for France.

Having starred in a 4-1 win over Republic of Ireland on Thursday, Ethan Ampadu was again selected in midfield as the teenager played his second competitive game for his nation in UEFA Nations League game against Denmark. Wales lost the game 2-0 and a controversial decision was awarded against Ampadu which allowed Christian Eriksen to score his second goal of the game, from the penalty spot. Andreas Christensen remained an unused sub in the game.

Toni Rudiger came on at half-time for Germany in a home 2-1 friendly win over Peru.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
