David Luiz is having a good start to the season, and is a key player for Maurizio Sarri having started every league game for the Blues this season.
The Brazilian seems to be enjoying his football and has fitted in to Sarri’s sarri-ball system. However, just a few months ago, his future at the club was under threat and many expected the defender to leave during the summer.
Luiz fell out with Conte last term and only made nine league starts all season long. He lost his place to youngster Andreas Christensen after criticising Conte’s tactics in the 3-0 defeat to Roma in the Champions League.
Luiz who is having a good campaign so far has revealed he’s enjoying life under Sarri and that the Italian urges them to enjoy their job as footballers.
“Sarri is giving us a lot of happiness to play football. We are trying to enjoy,” he told Chelsea TV after the 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
“He gives us a lot of confidence. He shows us what he wants. He gives us the details about the game. He works hard in every situation. And also as a human he’s a fantastic person.”
Luiz continued: “Every single day he says to us “you have the best job in the world, so you have to enjoy.
“You have to try to do this with a big smile.
“Many people in the world don’t have this privilege.”
