Alvaro Morata joined Chelsea last summer in a then club record deal, having signed from Real Madrid.
The 25-year-old started his career well with eight goals in his first eight games for the club, but his goals dried up afterwards and injury coupled with a lack of form caused the striker to have a troubled first season in England.
Morata who won the Champions League with Real Madrid in 2017 has admitted that he wouldn’t mind returning to the Bernabeu after the club signed back Mariano Diaz.
When asked about the prospect of a return to Real, Morata said: “Who would not like it?
“I am happy at Chelsea but I have many years ahead in my career if God and injuries allow it. Mariano said Madrid never close the door and look what happened. You never know.
“I’m in Chelsea, not in a team that are very inferior. It is clear that Madrid are the best in the world and everyone wants to be there but I’m not envious [of Mariano].”
