It was a difficult game against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge, but patience paid at the end of the game with Maurizio Sarri’s side continuing a perfect start to the season.

See how the players are rated from the game

Kepa: Barely had anything to do in the game but pass the ball to the defenders. 5/10

Azpilicueta: Was consistent down the right flank and strong in recovering at the back, but his end product wasn’t always good. 6/10

Luiz: His range of passing was impressive with especially a good one to Marcos Alonso on the left flank. But he almost cost the team with a bad pass but Kante rescued with a timely recovery. 6/10

Rudiger: Had a good game and played a big part in the first goal with a wonderful ball through the midfield. Strong at the back and used his header to trouble Cherries defence during corner kicks. 7/10

Alonso: Proving to be a real goal threat and was involved in the two goals scored by Pedro and Hazard. 7/10

Jorginho: Dictated the tempo of the game with his passing from midfield. He was at the center of Chelsea’s game today. 8/10

Kante: Had an excellent game and played a big role in the team’s attack and defence. Covered Luiz’s defensive error in the first half with an incredible recovery. Worked really hard and linked up well with the rest of the team. 9/10

Kovacic: Worked really hard and was neat and tidy on the ball, but couldn’t penetrate Bournemouth’s defence. 6/10

Hazard: He exploded in the second half and scored a good goal to cap off a brilliant game. Worried Bournemouth with his runs and dribbling. 9/10

Willian: Had a good first half where he threatened the Cherries defence, but he fizzled out of the game in the second half. 6/10

Morata: He can’t be faulted for a lack of trying. Bournemouth’s defence was too choked for anything to happen. 5/10

Giroud: Had a good impact in the game after replacing Morata. Used his height to trouble Bournemouth’s defence and played a role in Pedro’s goal. 7/10

Pedro: Came on for Willian with 64 minutes gone, and added extra impetus to Chelsea’s attack. His goal opened up the game for the Blues. 7/10

Loftus-Cheek: Had a good game despite the fact he played for only ten minutes after coming on for Kovacic. Had a couple of good runs. 6/10
