Kante: Despite playing in an advanced midfield position, he still showed good work rate and helped the team win the ball quickly. 7.5/10
Kovacic: Was having a good game linking well with Hazard and Pedro before injury forced his substitution early in the second-half. Forced the goalkeeper to make two good saves in the first-half. 7.5/10
Pedro: Could easily have scored a brace and was unlucky not to at least get a goal. Had a good game and was his usual busy self. 7/10
Hazard: Was a joy to watch as he scored his second ever hatrick in a Chelsea shirt. Too hot for Cardiff to handle and was in a class of his own. 10/10
Giroud: Showed that he’s a team player in just his first start of the season. Assisted two goals for Hazard and had a good partnership with the Hazard and Pedro. 8/10

Barkley: Replaced Kovacic after 50 minutes and was decent for the team. 6/10
Willian: Brought fresh impetus to Chelsea’s attack after replacing Pedro. Won the penalty for Hazard’s third goal and curled in an absolute beauty to seal the win. 8/10
