Callum Hudson-Odoi was probably Chelsea’s standout player in pre-season, but the young winger is yet to feature in any game or even make a matchday squad this season.
With four games played so far this season, the 17-year-old had to even drop down to the Development Squad for a week to keep up his match fitness.
However, Maurizio Sarri has admitted that he hasn’t forgotten about the highly rated teenager.
Sarri said: “Pedro has played the first three games, I started him, but on Saturday I thought it was better to play at the beginning with Willian but at the end I think I am lucky because if a coach can choose either Pedro or Willian he is a lucky coach.
“Pedro is a great player and it is normal for him to score but I am really very lucky because Hazard, Pedro, Moses and Willian in the same position, that’s very lucky and I don’t want to forget Hudson-Odoi.”
Chelsea’s schedule is going to get twice as busy after the international break, as the Blues are involved in various cup competitions, and games are going to be coming in thick. CHO will definitely get his chances.
