Many expected Liverpool to defeat Chelsea at Anfield on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup clash, but it was the Blues who got the victory in that game despite going down early in the first half.
Chelsea came from behind to win the game and secure qualification into the Carabao Cup fourth round at the expense of Jurgen Klopp’s side that were enjoying a perfect season.
The two sides will meet again on Saturday evening for the second time in a space of four days, and this time it’ll be Chelsea’s turn to play host.
Sarri was asked in his press conference if the win against Liverpool on Wednesday will give the Blues the psychological advantage heading into the game, but he refused to admit so.
Sarri responded: “I don’t think so. Tomorrow is another match in another competition with a different starting XI. Maybe they can increase their determination after Wednesday.
“It was a difficult match on Wednesday and it will be a very difficult match tomorrow. Maybe it will be an open match like the one on Wednesday.
“They are a top-level team. They have worked with the same coach for four seasons, and they are ready now to win the Premier League.”
Liverpool are yet to drop points in the Premier League this season as they currently top the table.
