Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over Cardiff City on Saturday took the Blues to the top of the table, as Chelsea have overtaken Liverpool on goal difference.
Despite Chelsea being top of the table, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has tried to take away the pressure from his players by insisting Liverpool and Manchester City are the favourites for the title.
“No, I cannot change my mind for one match,” he responded.
“I think at this moment Liverpool and Man City are another step ahead of us but I think we can improve. My target is to be the best team in England but not in one month, maybe one season, maybe a little more, but that is our target. At the moment, in my opinion, Liverpool and Man city are better than us.
“At this moment we are very dangerous in the offensive phase but not as solid as I want in the defensive phase. Today we knew Cardiff were very dangerous from set-pieces and we were not ready to answer, but we need to improve and we can improve very quickly.”
