Chelsea play host to Liverpool on Saturday evening at Stamford Bridge, and Maurizio Sarri has revealed that some of his players are doubts to play against the table toppers.
Pedro had a concussion against Cardiff City and hasn’t featured for the Blues since then, Antonio Rudiger is also out injured, Andreas Christensen was taken off in the game against Liverpool due to a tummy ache, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek has also been out injured.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s clash, Maurizio Sarri revealed that he’s unsure of these players and will decide on Saturday if they’ll feature in the game.
Sarri told the media: “Yesterday he had the training in the second part with the team. We have to see the last training. I think there is the possibility to recover.
“Christensen was not injured, he had only a stomach ache during the match. Pedro yesterday had the last part of the training with the team, like Rudiger and like Loftus-Cheek. We need to see the last training before we decide, but they are almost ready so the situation is better than three or four days ago.”
The Chelsea boss will definitely field a strong squad to face Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday after a weakened side fought hard for the victory at Anfield on Wednesday night.
A win for Chelsea will take the Blues ahead of Liverpool and could top the table depending on Manchester City’s result.
