Chelsea star Eden Hazard has recently revealed that he’s torn between staying at Chelsea and moving to Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants have been interested in Hazard for many years now, but their interest in the Belgium captain during the summer transfer window was strong, however Chelsea were intent on keeping him.
Hazard will have a year left on his contract at the end of the season, and there have been talks whether he will sign a new contract with the Blues or join Los Blancos.
However, Hazard didn’t really give a clear-cut response to his future.
“I don’t want to say, ‘yes, I am signing a new contract’ and then in the end I don’t end up signing,” Hazard said.
“I want what’s good for me, but I want what’s good for the club because the club has given me everything.
“So I will see. Sometimes in my head, I wake up in the morning and think I want to go. Sometimes I think I want to stay.
“It is a hard decision. It is my future.
“Real Madrid are the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie today.
“It is my dream since I was a kid. I was dreaming about this club.
“We will see. I don’t want to talk about this every day, I don’t have time.
“But we will talk about my future soon.”
Responding to Hazard’s comments, Chelsea striker and former Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata was asked whether Hazard would fit in at Real Madrid, Morata told AS: “You can play him in any position.
“And if he has said it that clearly [that he wants to play for Madrid], then that’s the way it is.
“We’ve said that it’s not that he wants to leave Chelsea but if Madrid come in for him, that won’t be an obstacle.
“The thing is that he has a very good relationship with the club, he’s happy there and it’s not like other cases when a player wants to leave a club at any cost.
“But if it’s good for Chelsea they will keep that in mind.”
