Chelsea’s sensational league campaign under Maurizio Sarri continued in style and swag with a 4-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor thanks to goals from Alvaro Morata, Ross Barkley, Willian Borges, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Here are 3 positives from the game:
CHELSEA SUSTAIN MOMENTUM WITH BIG WIN:
At the start of the season most Chelsea fans and also football observers wouldn’t have placed a bet on Chelsea being unbeaten up till this point of the season. The late appointment of Maurizio Sarri and the uncertain futures of key players were issues facing the club then. More so, the possibility of the Chelsea players adapting to Sarri’s style of football was another episode in the club’s constant managerial change to be seen. But right now, the former coach has cracked the codes and brought a magic formula that has given the same team that struggled under Conte a new swagger. Our 4-0 win against Burnley away is another indication of the good job Sarri is doing at the club and surely he deserves a lot of credit.
MIDFIELDERS CONTRIBUTING GOALS TO CHELSEA CAUSE:
The major issue that has plagued Chelsea this season has been on our misfiring strike force. But Morata’s goal gave hope, but it is the form of the midfielders that has really been encouraging. Ross Barkley’s goal-scoring form is now three leagues on the bounce, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s goal today makes it four goals in two games on the spin for him after his hat-trick in our Europa league midweek game against BATE Borisov. Chelsea surely need more goals from our midfield and the current form of our midfield players is just coming at the right time.
Let’s keep the blue flag flying high. Cheers!
