Spanish side Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in a move for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, according to The Mirror.
The 31-year-old’s Chelsea contract will run out at the end of the season and he will be able to speak to foreign clubs from January.
However, Fabregas preference is to remain at Stamford Bridge and he recently revealed he’s enjoying his football under Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.
Fabregas said: “I wish he came a bit earlier to be honest, it’s a little bit late now in my career. Definitely I’m very happy with him.
“I’d love to stay at the club. I’ve been very happy for the last four years and a half, we’ve had great success, won many things.
“I feel I still have a lot of football left in me but it is now up to the club.”
Fabregas has made just four appearances for Chelsea this season after missing the opening weeks of the new season due to injury.
