Eden Hazard is currently rated as one of the best players in the world, and to many, he’s undoubtedly the best player in the Premier League.
Hazard’s incredible form in the World Cup increased his reputation, and his form this season has also been phenomenal as he has been the star of a Chelsea team fighting for the Premier League title alongside Liverpool and Manchester City.
Hazard was at it again against Southampton as he not only terrorised their defenders, he also scored another goal – his seventh in the Premier League this season.
Hazard tops the Premier League scorer’s chart with seven goals in eight appearances, and his teammate Ross Barkley was full of praise for the 27-year-old Belgian.
Barkley said after the Southampton clash: “He’s an electric player. He is capable of producing magic on the pitch at any moment. He’s fantastic to play with, and he makes everyone else around him better. There are not many players in the world who are capable of doing that, fair play to him.”
Hazard has been given a target of 40 goals by Maurizio Sarri this season as the Chelsea boss is trying to push Hazard to reach his best potential.
Speaking after the 3-0 win over the Saints, Hazard told Sky Sports: “I don’t know if I’ve played better (than I am at the minute), I’m just playing good football because we are playing good football.
“I want to keep doing it and keep everyone happy. We are enjoying playing well and scoring goals.”
