Chelsea are the favourites heading into Saturday’s rivalry clash between the Blues and Manchester United.

This clash is the first after the international break, and many believe Chelsea will take all three points at Stamford Bridge.

Even former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has admitted that Chelsea will win this game.

The BetVictor brand ambassador said: “Chelsea have lost just one of their last 16 home league games with Manchester United and I expect to see the hosts improve on that proud home record.

“Jose Mourinho has lost all three games as United boss at Stamford Bridge, and the visitors will certainly have to defend better than they did against Newcastle in the first 45 minutes at Old Trafford last time. United deserve plenty of credit for their second half comeback against the Magpies, but this will be a severe test of their top four credentials.

“I feel the Blues will edge what promises to be a great start to the weekend.”

Owen predicted a 2-1 victory for Chelsea.

Chelsea have a very good record against Manchester United in recent years especially at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea have only tasted one defeat in the past 16 Premier League meetings against United, which was in October 2012 when we had two players sent off (W10, D5, L1).

United have never won at the Bridge since Sir Alex Ferguson retired and United have a bad record entering the game as they have kept just one league clean sheet this season and conceded 14 goals; only three teams have fared worse.

Chelsea head into this game with a nice defence as the Blues have kept four clean sheets in their last six games in all competitions.
