Chelsea and Italian champions Juventus are frontrunners in the race to sign Brescia teenager Sandro Tonali, dubbed ‘the new Andrea Pirlo’, according to The Sun.
The 18-year-old midfielder is also attracting interest from other Italian clubs including Roma, Inter Milan and AC Milan.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is reportedly a longtime admirer of the teenager and wanted him while he was Napoli boss.
The Sun claims Chelsea scouts watched the talented midfielder set up two goals in Brescia’s 4-1 thrashing of Padova.
Tonali is reportedly valued at around £20 million. He is a composed playmaker with a sharp turn of pace.
The 18-year-old, whose playing style has been likened to Italian legend Pirlo, has scored two goals in 25 appearances for Brescia.
